I wanted to try sashiko sewing technique.
A nenechávám nic náhodě.
I like doing things properly. I borrowed the book, read it to learn the basics and found out that I don't have to bother with the authentic sashiko fabric as it is hardly available here. I used a piece of linen, old sheets inside and a sashiko thread.
Výsledek značně nedokonalý, nepřesné předkreslení na látku, stehy nestejně dlouhé a prsty bolavé a rozpíchané. Nedovedu si představit, že bych měla prošít deku.
Těším se zpět na svůj háček...
The result is imperfect. The lines, I made with pencil, are not precise, the stitches are not the same length as they should be and my fingers are aching. I can't imagine myself sewing through the whole blanket.
I'm looking forward back to my happy hooking....
